1.    as…as… for quality adjectives (big, cheap, clear, big, long, old, tall, heavy, large, etc.)
for example : X.B is as big as X.C.
                 Hafiz is as tall as Ade.
                  I will reply your message as soon as possible.
                 Muckhlis is not as tall as Ryan.

2. The same as is used between two Noun
                For example : Hypertmart is the same as Carrfour
                                        Carrfour is not the same as JM Group

3. The same…as,,, for quality noun (size, age, color, length, price, style, weight)
                For example : My bag has the same color as Sinta’s bag.
                                       Aulia is almost the same age as my sister.
                                       Dea does not have the same style as Indah.

4. The same or similar is used after the two nouns or plural nouns.
                For example : our mobile phones are the same.
                                       Their shoes are not the same.
                                        Their answers are similar
                                        Our questions are not similar.
                                       

5 Different from is used between two nouns
                For example : I am different from my sister
                                       My question is different from book.
                                       Your answer is not different from my answer.

6. Different is used after the two nouns
                For example : Magazine and newspaper are different
                                       My brother and I are different


 EXERCISE.
 REWRITE  THE SENTENCES WITH A COMPARATIVE AND  NOT AS...... AS

EXAMPLE:      SALLY IS 1.70 METRES.
 I AM 1.80METRES. (TALL)

ANSWER :      I’M TALLER THAN SALLY.
SALLY IS NOT AS TALL AS ME

1.     THE GOLD RING IS $ 70.
THE SILVER RING IS $ 65. (EXPENSIVE)

2.        THE BUS LEAVES AT 12.00 O’CLOCK.
THE TRAINS LEAVES AT 1.00 O’CLOCK. (EARLY)

3.     MATHS IS DIFFICULT TO ME.
LANGUAGE IS NOT VERY DIFFICULT TO ME (DIFFICULT)

4.     I’M 15 YEARS OLD.
MY COUSIN IS 16 YEARS OLD. (YOUNG)

5.        YESTERDAY I ARRIVED HOME AT 11.00.
MY BROTHER ARRIVED HOME AT 11.30 (LATE)
